Whole cloth quilts are the epitomy of traditional beauty. I have created patterns for two of my three whole cloth quilts. Since these are now retired competition quilts, I am pleased to share them with other quilters.
Each Pattern includes three items:
~ 18″ x 20″ full-pattern
This pattern includes all frames, scrolls and feathers – any large-scale elements key to the design. Small-scale fills are for each quilter to select. The fills used on these quilts can be found within my green fills books, Beautiful Backgrounds and Dense & Dainty.
~ 11″ x 17″ pattern of a quadrant (1/4th) of the quilt
Some quilters may opt to enlarge the quarter-pattern then copy it 4 times to create a full pattern. Depending on the capabilities of your copy center, this may be a more cost-effective option.
~ Eight-page color instruction booklet
This will guide quilters on how to create their special quilt from this pattern. It discusses fabrics, threads, small-scale fills and includes numerous color photos of the reference quilt.
The process is as simple as Enlarge, Trace & Quilt!
Please note that these are paper patterns that must be traced to fabric using a light box. At this current time, I do not have a digital pattern to offer.
