Designed around 8 hand-tatted lace doilies I purchased from an Etsy seller in Istanbul, the original design for this quilt featured floral designs, the long-tulip and carnation, seen on Turkish pottery. It is constructed exclusively of Kaufman silk Radiance. The applique is all hand-stitched and turned edge. Quilting is hand-guided. All non-background fabrics were hand-dyed by me. The quilt features some embroidery, hand beading and a few crystals.
As of April 2023, the quilt is owned by the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY.
