The pattern is by Sue Garman and is Ladies of the Sea, approx 96″x96″. All appliques are outline stitched with clear thread. Detail stitching is done with a variety of 40 wt threads. Wool batting is used. This type of quilt takes 35-40 hours to quilt, and is an heirloom for future generations.
